The twin kings of Hama Bachama and Batta today led a delegation of twenty prominent sons and daughters to meet and discuss critical issues with the Vice President in the Aso Rock Villa.
The delegation included some non-Bwatiye speaking elites from Chobo, Kwah, Bille, Mbula and Bali. The two kings adopted a common position in their opening remarks.
Their spokespersons, Chief Timaus Mathias and Madam Michal Bongi left no stone unturned in making bare the concerns and demands of our people. Senator Grace Bent, in a surprise move, berated the Nigerian Air Force for their bombing sprees against innocent villagers and the Army’s Brigade Commander in Yola for becoming a law unto himself and terrorising our communities.
On the issue of cattle colonies, Prof Alukidon Voh made such a technical presentation that encouraged the Minister of Agriculture to revive the song of grazing reserves and ranching.
The Vice President thanked the delegation and promised to discuss further with the President while counting on the assistance of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation who was in attendance.
