The meeting of the Northern Governors Wives forum came to an end in Maiduguri Borno state where a communique was issued.
The Forum agreed among other things to support the war against terrorism and to intensify efforts geared towards ending the attacks in Maiduguri.
The Northern Governors wives also pledged to create awareness on the dangers of cancer, to also help in the fight against drug abuse and also advocate for the proper rehabilitation of the IDPs who are mostly women and children.
It was also resolved that the forum will in turn brief the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum to intimate him on the challenges of the Association.
The next meeting is schedule to take place in Jigawa State in June 2020.
