Events unfolding as the state governorship and state assembly elections are fast approaching. Not only is it becoming clear that the elections were not properly planned ,but that a grand scheme appears to have been put in place to perpetrate a grand fraud. This is evident from the way a document that is viral on the social media shows how INEC decided to contract the the printing of sensitive election materials to a company ( MS Binani Printing Press Ltd a company owned by a known candidate, Aisha Dahiru Binani.
The notion on everyone’s lips is Why this should be the case smirks of complicity. Or do INEC officials intend to make Nigerians belief that they ignorantly awarded the contract of such sensitive materials without adequate investigations? Are. INEC’S sensitive material not supposed to be printed at the National Security printing and Minting Company? If not, it should have a rethink because the elections in Adamawa state is clouded with credibility problems as a result of Binani’s boast of winning by all means.
Is this boast not linked to her knowledge of the inner workings of INEC? Given the circumstances,one is inclined to believe that with a reservoir of essential election materials, Binani knows how she intends to manipulate things in her favor.
From all indicationsthe APC is hellbent on winning. If the shoddy manner the presidential election is anything to go by, the wary electorates must be up and doing to deny the APC’s the privilege of rigging by getting unfue advantage over others as the case was with the presidential polls that are now highly contested domestically and internationally discredited by foreign observers.
So far Binani has made bold to say that they intend to win elections by all means. What does this mean to our numerous members of the APC who claim to be democrats? Surely the party,largely made up power-mongers are of the same opinion and therefore all true democrats must do all to ensure that the nefarious activities of anti-democratic forces are defeated.
INEC which should be a neutral arbiter is proving itself false covert and overt actions exposing its partisan position and bias . In the contrary is the ,INEC should prove its neutrality in unequivocally terms.
Nigerians have found INEC wanting three weeks ago. Nigerians are increasingly aware of INEC’s bias and it’s seeming inglorious award of sensitive contracts to members of the ruling party is a clear indication that electoral votes must be closely protected lest they be hijacked.
As we stand in the threshold of history,we are muddled in confusion as we are incapable of deciphering what INEC is up to. It has failed in all it promised us. The BVAS are not working,leading to the electoral fraud. The results are not transmitted imediately in real time as stipulated ,which is a major infraction. In fact,one and all have to be vigilant to ensure that we are not robbed in broad daylight.
We must make INEC accountable to the people of Nigeria. INEC must justify the huge sums spent by Nigeria. We must stop APC from rigging in Adamawa and force INEC to clear the air on his alleged largely controversial contracts and clear itself off its badly tatterd image.
INEC must feel the hot air of our breaths on its neck. We must not relent. We must keep INEC on it’s toes and make it accountable to our people. We must ensure that APC does achieve anything by “hook or by crook”.
In any case, Za a yi zabe, Za a kasa, a kuma raka, a tsare a kuma jira!!!!!
