Rejoinder: The Real Challenge for INEC in Adamawa State- George Kushi

Domestic News Nigeria 2023 Elections Politics

By George Kushi

Anyone familiar with the desperation of the Binani camp as far as the Adamawa guber-elections are concerned cannot fail to figure the ubiquitous approach of Ahmad Sajoh in trying to gain sympathy for his principal. From all that transpired ,uptil the time that the elections in Adamawa were mysteriously declared “inconclusive” no one is in doubt of the mounting attempt to reverse and thwart the wish of the people. Overwhelmed by the defeat by the PDP ,Binani in desperation has been calling on the federal might in an effort to force herself on Adamawa state.

Having adopted the “cowboy”,so called in cases where Mafia bosses lose control and join their boys,Binani and her henchmen were day in,day out spending sleepless nights chasing shadows. They were with the security agents to check rigging ,afraid even when they knew that there was a plan to” taimaki matannan”. With a compromised Resident Electoral Commissioner they knew that the tide against them was overwhelming. Yet Sajoh is claiming that electoral officials rigged in favor of the PDP. Is it not common knowledge that if the officials had favored PDP all of them would have been arrested by the government at the center to whom Adamawa,Atiku Abubakar’s state is a plum prize? Is it possible that federal might would be so stalled should any INEC official dared do such a thing? Sajoh Ahmad should wise up and avoid soiling whatever reputation he has as an observer of Adamawa politics.

Sajoh and his principal know better than what they claim. They knew that they intend to win “by hook or by crook”. They knew and laid their hopes on the powers that be to help them rob Adamawa people of their mandate bestowed to the PDP. They knew that Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s performance has sealed the chance of all comers in the guber-race hence the employment of all means:fair, but later very foul means in an effort to grab Adamawa which they see as their fiefdom.

This unfortunately for them proved otherwise.
The infantile approach of Sajoh daring the PDP to also request a total re-run is outlandish. INEC,the arbiter is a federal government parastatall answerable to the APC bigwigs in Abuja. Some of it’s officials have been heard saying they are pressured from the” top”. Is there any need to start seeking clarification as to what that means? We know what is cooking. All people know what is inttended. The PDP will not be taunted into doing the bidding of the APC.

The plan has failed woefully because they failed to do their dirty job thoroughly. They of course closed the expected gap,but the rigging in Mubi North,Mubi South,Yola North,Yola South, Gombi be before the last ditch attempt in Fufore exposed them. The tapes are there in multiple copies as the REC urged on the need to “help this woman”(a taimaki matannan”.

APC agents were in all polling centers,as were those of other parties. How come in those areas of disagreement only APC has a contending position? How come, the police and others have the same results without immediate complaints but the APC after results from the centers have been filled in? Surely ,this is a case of grapes gone sour.

As a matter of fact,Sajoh must have known where voters were* ferried” to thump print ballot papers without BVAS,but did not report that ealier nor employ their commando tactics of barging into people’s homes searching for fake polling centers. He should have led a team, while Binani watched the other. It is easy concoct stories after a crushing defeat. Armchair philosophising leads to delusions of great magnitude. No one but APC”by hook or by crook “. Philosophers have the luxury of imagining the absurd and putting same on paper believing that all other people are foolish enough to accept the rubbish churned out.
Anon with this crap talk. Adamawa people have more serious issues at hand than listen to cry-babies.
