BREAKING: Second Case of COVID-19 Confirmed in Nigeria

The Honourable Minister of health, Dr. Osagie Emmanuel Ehanire has announced a second confirmed case of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in Nigeria.

He made this known in a ministerial briefing update on the novel coronavirus at University of Benin teaching hospital on Monday.

This second case is a contact of the index case, in Ogun state. The new case has been in isolation and was tested as part of our strategy to test all contacts of the index case.
