The distribution of COVID-19 palliatives for Katsina North Senatorial District fifth phase has began.

Five vulnerable persons have been selected from each ward in Daura senatorial zone to benefit from the grains palliative provided by National Emergency management Agency NEMA.

The speaker, Katsina State House of Assembly Tasi’u Musa Maigari who represented the Chairman of the State distribution committee, Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu while flagging off the distribution exercise in Ingawa local government noted that the purpose was to provide succour considering the ravaging effect of Covid19 pandemic on social well being of the people more especially the vulnerable ones in the society.

He stated that since the emergence of the pandemic the state government and some philanthropic Organizations have been making concerted efforts towards bringing respite to the people.

He called on people of the state to continue to offer prayers for sustainable peace, progress and development of the state and the nation as a whole.

The member representing ingawa local government at the State house of assembly Abubakar Suleman Tune, called on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the commodities.

The Director administration and finance ingawa local Government Idris Balarabe Bindawa pledged commitment to ensuring even distribution of the commodities in order to reach out the targeted persons.
