Super Eagles Defender, Leon Balogun Uses Mandela to Campaign Against Xenophobia

Nigeria Super Ealges star defender, Leon Balogun on Wednesday, tweet a campaign against xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans living in South Africa.

Balogun quoted anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, philanthropist and former South Africa President, Nelson Mandela ruled from 1994 to 1999.

He re-iterated the importance of a United Africa and prayed for unity. “Together we stand, divided we fall! I’m praying for UNITY” Balogun said.

 

Nigerians have been killed and their businesses and properties destroyed in recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa. The Nigerian government has since recalled the country’s high commissioner, Kabiru Bala and boycott the World Economic Summit to hold in South Africa.
